갤러리일상

갤러리 일상(Gallery ILSANG)은 2013년 서울 마포 도화동에 개관한 컨템포러리 공예갤러리입니다. 도심 속 작지만 또렷하게 그리고 자연스럽게 녹아있는 공간입니다. 이 곳에서는 공예의 좋은 전통적 가치를 지키면서 현대적 감각이 더해진 여러 시도들을 공예작가들과 함께 만들어 나가고 있습니다. 개관한 이래 국내외 중요한 공예 작가들의 작품을 기획하여 전시해 왔고, 또한 신진 작가들의 실험적 작업들을 발굴하여 한국 현대 공예의 미래를 타진하고자 노력하고 있습니다. 더불어 국내외 공예 작가들을 적극적으로 프로모션하고 있으며, 이들의 작품들을 국제적인 페어들을 통해 소개하는 등 활발한 교류을 만들어가며 국제적 네트워크를구축하고 있습니다. 이를 통한 다양한 교육 프로그램도 제작하여 지역 문화발전에 초석이 되고자 하는 바람입니다. 앞으로도 조용하지만 의미있는 작업을 하는 작가들과 함께 대중과 소통할 수 있는 많은 기회들을 만들고자 합니다. 더불어 일상에 예술이, 예술안에 우리의 일상이 공존하도록 갤러리 일상은 노력하겠습니다 Gallery Ilsang was founded in 2013 and it is located in Dohwa-dong, Mapo District in Seoul. It is a contemporary craft gallery within an urban space, small but unique immersed naturally in its environment. Here we preserve the positive aspects of traditional craft values adding contemporary sensitivity developing forward in collaboration with artists through different artists. Since it was first founded, the gallery has organized exhibitions with leading craft artists. Also the gallery has contributed in developing the Korean craft field by discovering new talents, young artists are experimental. Artists who have worked with the gallery have been actively promoted both in Korea and outside of the country. The objective of the gallery is to promote artists through international venues such as fairs and exhibitions in order to establish exchanges and networks. Based on the exhibitions educational programs are operated and they contribute to the development of the district. The gallery hopes to continue discovering new talents, particularly those who quietly work in the field. The word “Ilsang” in Korean means “daily life” therefore the gallery endeavors to coexist with art and daily life.
